Dr. Sanjeeb Roy is presently the Director at Department of Cardiology, CK Birla Hospital (Rukmani Birla Hospital), Jaipur. (Earlier worked at Fortis Jaipur for 15 years from its inception in 2007-2021 and MMH from 2021-23).
Expertise in Coronary angiography and Coronary Angioplasty - predominantly through radial artery access - with plaque modifications (rotational atherectomy, Excimer Laser atherectomy, Intravascular lithotripsy), physiological assessment (FFR and resting indices, CMD), image guided PCI (OCT - Optical Coherence Tomography and IVUS - Intravascular Ultrasound) in complex lesions like Left main, Ostial and bifurcation, Calcified lesions, CTOs (Chronic total occlusions and one of the few doing both retrograde and antegrade dissection re-entry) , small vessel and multi-vessel angioplasty. Circulatory supports in hemodynamically compromised situations with use of IMPELLA as needed. Core competence lies in high risk and complex angioplasty.
Other expertise: Structural heart and Valvular disease (closure of septal defects, ducts or fistulas, valvotomies, LAA occlusions), device implantations (PPI - pacemakers, ICD - defibrillators, CRT - resynchronization devices, leadless pacemaker), Aortic stenting (TEVAR / EVAR, AAA) and peripheral interventions.
Attends to emergencies at the shortest time and adapts best practices recommended in Cardiology.
Has many first procedure in the State of Rajasthan to his credit: First to implant bioresorbable scaffold (Absorbadbale stent), CRT, prolific user of physiology and imaging and plaque modifications as needed, first user of excimer laser and so on...
